About Us
Hello, we are Loreto and Raquel, two moms with a common project, Binturong.
Binturong was born from our founder Loreto's passion for innovation and fashion.
Upon becoming a mother, she realized the lack of an accessory on the market that would easily, comfortably, and effectively solve the problem of her daughters using it as a coat rack every time they left home to go to a shopping center, a park, public transport, or to hike in the mountains, because they didn't want to wear them or carry them.
Tired of being her daughters' clothes rack, Loreto searches for a solution, both online and in physical stores, but finds none. Thinking about how she can solve this herself, the seed of Binturong is born.
Raquel, an architect and passionate about sustainability, joins this adventure driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, contributing her vision and technical knowledge to the project.
The name Binturong is due to two reasons:
1. It is an Asian animal that hangs from trees
2. It happens to start with the monosyllable "bi" making an analogy to our two (suspenders) and continues with "nturon" which resembles a belt, with which there is also a semantic analogy referring to the action of holding or tightening a garment.
